AAHA Accredited
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is a non-profit organization for the accreditation of companion animal veterinary hospitals in the US and Canada.
To become AAHA-accredited, our animal hospital has undergone a rigorous evaluation process to ensure they meet the over 900 AAHA Standards of Accreditation. These standards cover hospital safety, patient care, diagnostics, pain management, contagious disease management, continuing education, dentistry, and emergency/urgent care, among others.
Fear Free Certified
Cedar Mill Veterinary Hospital is proud to have a Fear Free Certified veterinarian on our staff, Dr. Alec Bailey. Being Fear Free means that Dr. Baily is trained to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in our patients to create a better visit and healthier pet.
Using Dr. Baily's knowledge, we have implemented larger Fear Free protocols at our hospital, including understanding and knowing how to respond to and address signs of stress in pets, helping clients plan ahead for lower-stress appointments, creating a calm environment in our hospital, and more.
AAFP Certified
The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) supports its members in improving the health and welfare of cats through high standards of practice and patient care, continuing education, and evidence-based medicine.
With specially trained staff, dedicated feline exam rooms, as well as a feline-only waiting area, Cedar Mill Veterinary Hospital is an American Association of Feline Practitioners certified Cat-Friendly hospital.
